The Landmark Universe is a fictional continuity created by Simon Kirby in 1999 and formally published via MSN groups in 2004. Notable characters include Selina the Moon Maiden, Majokko, Huntress Of The Night, Major Triumph, Excelsior, Tachyon the Digital Man and Masque the Midnight Stalker.
The Landmark Universe exists within a "multiverse" containing numerous alternate plains of existence (including at least one "dark reflection" referred to as Terra Magnus). In this context, The Landmark Universe is considered the mainstream reality, also referred to as Earth Prime.

Empire City is the chief setting within the Landmark Universe, analogous to Manhattan Island in the United States. Located on the Eastern Seaboard, it is a multi-cultural center representing all races, ethnicities and demographics. Built on the shores of the Kingston River, Empire is divided into three main regions; Port Kingston (east shore), Radcliffe (west shore), and Gallows Hill (south western districts), housing a total population of over 40 million. The central business district is referred to as "Chamberlain," a title reflecting the district's 'Loyalist' heritage.
Originally founded by European settlers in the colonial period, Empire City has a long history stretching back to the early 1700s, enduring successive waves of prosperity, disaster and conflict. Throughout the 20th century, it has seen increasing levels of superhuman activity, particularly since the so-called "mystery man" explosion of the mid-thirties. Conspiracy theorists claim that Empire City is a major transport hub for extraterrestrial and supernatural entities. Although dismissed as crackpots by the general community, recent events suggest they are far closer to the truth than anyone ever imagined.
